Michael Keferl came to Japan in 2004 after studying Telecommunications & Media at Ohio University, along with a 5-year production stint at Cox Radio. Having joined CScout soon after arriving, Michael has studied the Japanese language and market while living in both the countryside and urban Tokyo, giving him the perspective of multiple cultures within contemporary Japan.
In addition to managing CScout’s operations in the Tokyo office, Michael oversees Japanese content for the Global Trendpool, conducts hands-on Tokyo Trend Tours, and spends a great deal of time out gathering information for clients in every nook and cranny imaginable. Outside of Japan, Michael has given presentations on Japanese trends and marketing innovations from Southeast Asia to Europe.

Caro Mr. Keferl .
Also muito obrigado to you for the Tokio-Summerland-Video.

Dear Michael,
I had the chance to see you appear on CNN about “wacky new food trends”. I really enjoyed watching it and it was really interesting to see those crazy food bentos and the ‘nori’ stapler! Also, I learnt from the show about CScout company and what you guys do (which is very cool). I’m actually a brand consultant/product designer from Southeast asia (Bangkok, Thailand) and would like to know how I could be part of this scout team? I checked your company website and it appears that there isn’t (yet) a cscout in that region (why?) hope you can give me some insights on that matter! cheers, Aisoon
