March of the iPenguin from Sega Toys

Following in the wake of the hugely successful iDog and iFish “pets” for your portable audio players (read: iPods), Sega Toys has now introduced a cold-weather friend to get down with. iPenguin has a speaker in the back of its head, a nose sensor, and an array of LED lights in its belly that flash to the beat. Of course, iPenguin also dances to the beat, rocking and flapping its wings to the music piped in from your player’s headphone jack. As Sega says for their other iPet creations, “music is their food”.

iPenguin from Sega Toys

The iPenguin takes three AAA batteries and is 85mm (3.3 in.) wide and 90mm (3.5 in.) tall. It will be available from July 26th.
