Back in September, our friend Danny Choo (Stormtrooper extraordinaire) invited us to the first Japan-blogger meetup (of sorts), subsequently dubbed Tokyo CGM Night. It was a rather intimate gathering, and involved fellow web geeks and bloggers networking and promising to link to each other.
Last Friday, Danny and the ubiquitous Andrew Shuttleworth put together what was probably the most enjoyable networking event I’ve been to in Tokyo, especially since Tokyo CGM Night II was more “net” than “working”. Plus, it was packed to the gills with just about anyone who is anyone in the local CGM (Consumer Generated Media) community.

While not making a giant list (it’s on Danny’s site), some notable attendees were Gen Kanai of Mozilla, Alex from AkihabaraNews, design fanatic and blogger Jean Snow, our favorite local comedian Tokyo Cooney, Serkan Toto of Techcrunch, approximately ten attention-starved females including doe-eyed blogger Kynapple, and a million other people (give or take).
Harada Setsuko and web security/fashion expert Gohsuke Takama pose with Sven and I.
Many thanks to Danny and Andrew for putting all of this together, and we’re looking forward to Volume III!
